Guided Upland Hunts
Meadow is a certified firearms safety instructor and experienced guide. She offers a limited number of independently guided days and half days during the fall season! Meadow's graduate school thesis was on ruffed grouse habitat selection in North Central Minnesota, she was a regional biologist for the ruffed grouse society and is a wealth of knowledge on grouse and woodcock. Whether you are looking to learn about the sport and want to book your first educational outing or are an experienced upland hunter wanting a guided trip in a new area, consider going out with Meadow!
Group size is no more than two (three with the guide). Hunts are over Deutsch-drahthaars and field bred English setters and/or your own dogs. Hunts are either half day (4 hours) at $300 or full day (8 hours, includes lunch) at $500. Transportation from Grand Rapids or meeting on location in 2020 Ford F-150 supercab with topper. Ruffed grouse and woodcock hunts are on public lands. Spruce grouse requires a full day commitment. Available to guide on pheasant preserves or public land during season upon request.
Transportation to and from Duluth (DLH) International airport $150.00 and to and from Hibbing Airport for $75.00. Grand Rapids, MN has many modern accommodations for lodging.
